The Skylands Music & Arts Alliance is a non-profit organization committed to developing and strengthening the arts in northwest New Jersey and surrounding areas. Through our series of concert events and ongoing cultural programming we generate support for multicultural expression and the promotion of active arts for all people.
The Alliance incorporated as a New Jersey non-profit corporation in 1998 and has been active primarily in the Skylands region of the state. Our goal is to create a vital regional community of the arts, one that reveres the traditional arts and music of our many cultures and simultaneously dares to explore the new forms and ideas from which our future culture will be made.
Toward that end, we nurture the work of emerging artists and celebrate the achievements of acknowledged masters. We engage audiences as active participants in the artistic process. We work to build strong links between disparate elements inside and outside the "arts community" and to remove barriers, both perceived and real, which currently prevent many within our greater community from participating.
The Alliance is headquartered in beautiful Blairstown, NJ in Warren County, one of the five New Jersey counties that make up the Skylands region.
